Help Us Welcome Our Summer 2023 Interns!

We are excited to introduce our newest group of interns at UN&UP!

This summer, we have the privilege of welcoming five incredibly talented individuals to our team,
three of whom attended universities from which we have not previously recruited.

We are proud to announce Ms. Kari Chambers, a rising senior in Chemical Engineering from North Carolina A&T State University. Ms. Chambers was a distinguished Oklahoma Louis Stokes Alliance Scholar from 2020-2022, a program funded by the National Science Foundation in partnership with Oklahoma colleges and universities.

We also welcome Ms. Megan Chermack, a rising senior in Biomedical Engineering at Saint Louis University. She is minoring in Engineering Mathematics and is a member in good standing of Alpha Delta Pi, the oldest sorority in the United States.

From the Missouri University of Science & Technology, we have Ms. Danielle Dotson, a rising senior in Biochemical Engineering with a minor in Biomedical Engineering. Ms. Dotson is the president of the Missouri S&T iGEM team, which focuses on technology development for early-stage breast cancer. She was also a recipient of the esteemed Iota Sigma Pi Outstanding Young Women in Chemistry award in 2019.

We're thrilled to share that Ms. Sarah Hayden has returned as a Master's student at Marquette University. After completing her Bachelor's degree last month, she'll be traveling for her Master's research while also working on advancing engineering projects at UN&UP. Ms. Hayden made history in 2020 as the first-ever recipient of an NIH Diversity Supplement for Missouri under the NIH grant R43NS112035-01, which focuses on developing a Remotely-Operated Robotic Endovascular Platform to Improve Thrombectomy Access.

We're also excited to welcome Ms. Kellan Moore to our team through the 2023 Internship Program for Biomedical Engineering. This program was made possible thanks to the leadership of Drs. Lori Setton and Joseph Klaesner at Washington University in St. Louis. Ms. Moore recently completed her Bachelor's degree and is now pursuing her Master's degree. She's a distinguished KiTS21 Scholar and has completed Research Experiences for Undergraduates programs at the University of California San Diego and the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory.

Please join us in recognizing this next generation of talented engineers.
We are thrilled to have these talented individuals join our team
and can't wait to see what they accomplish with us!
