Dr. Francis M. Creighton, Ph.D.

Dr. Creighton successfully founded and funded multiple medical technology companies. He is an expert in the design of magnetic drug and robotic systems for which he has been awarded nearly 50 patents. He led team efforts to obtain the first regulatory clearances for magnetic tools, magnet systems, and drug systems within and outside the US. He invented Stereotaxis’ commercially successful EP magnet-based platform where he worked with Siemens, J&J, and Philips in integration efforts. Dr. Creighton previously founded and served as CEO of Pulse Therapeutics, a company developing nanoparticles to lyse blood clots. For this, he invented the technology, led regulatory efforts, and oversaw clinical studies. Dr. Creighton authored and served as PI for multiple NIH SBIR awards and was awarded participation in the NINDS NIH I-Corps, Commercialization Accelerator, and C3i programs. He is also a standing member of the NIH NSD-C Translational and Next Generation Device Review Panel.
